Welcome to our family's Haiti happenings!

"Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell
in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee
the desires of thine heart.

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and
he shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:3-5

A DREAM COME TRUE!! (2-10-2011)

We have started working with a Haitian Pastor and his family!
These are some pictures of where he lives, the church and the school!

This is the church buiding

Looking into the church. The benches are used for school
in the classrooms out back and then brought in for
church each Sunday...

The church roof was badly damaged in the huricanes
that came through the last few years!
This is  the pastor and some of his family.

One of the pastor's daughters, Ananie, teaching school.
This is where the school rooms were before the hurricanes.
This is their depot, storage building.
A look into the back yard.
This is where all the children have school and sleep!
This is the back side of the pastor's home, the family is living
here, they get wet every time that it rains.

A Mother Daughter Sort of Day!!

Last Monday (2-28-11) Mom and I went to the beach and spent the day there. I had finished 7th grade so we went to the beach as a celebration!! Here are some pictures of our day there. We went snorkeling it was beautiful! I wish that I had an underwater camera; the coral reefs were amazing! It was nice to just hang out and talk.  (Sorry that I didn't get them up sooner, but we lost the camera:-(   But today we found it!!)

Beautiful ending!!

You can guess what happened here! Yes, Mom forgot that she
had the cell phone in her pocket. And yes we did have to buy
a new phone:-(

THANKFUL TO HAVE A FATHER, PTL!!

Daddy was driving home from Gonaives (1 ½ hrs. north of us) and was only about ½ hr from our home. He could see the camion (big truck) coming down the road towards him, but usually they will stop when there’s a traffic problem. The two cars in front of  Daddy went into the left lane because of a big dirt pile in the right lane. He debated about following them, and usually would have, but he felt the Holy Spirit telling him to pull over behind the dirt pile and wait… So he did (a miracle!).  Within  a few seconds the camion came barreling down in his lane, taking no regard for the two vehicles heading toward him, also in his lane. He hit the tap-tap (small truck/taxi) head-on!! People went flying out of the tap-tap and onto the street. Then the camion hit a brand new Ford pick-up smashing it up pretty bad and sending it into our Suburban!  Daddy tried to move off the road, but there was a big ravine on the right, the dirt pile in front and cars behind; he couldn’t move any further away. Praise the Lord our ’85 Suburban is sturdy or the impact could have been deadly to Daddy and the vehicle!!  God is so merciful, and we are so grateful!

playing with the children!

WE HAVE OUR CONTAINER!!

We Praise the Lord for allowing us to get our container out of customs this week. Thank y'all so much for your prayers!!
Arriving at the site where the container has been sitting
for 3 and a half months!

Where the containers are kept, while waiting for the duoane charges.

Opening our container!  It was packed so neatly when it left Ocala,
but after "verification", where they take everything out to make
sure you're not hiding something valuable, they messed it all up!
A group of helpers.

A full truck!  Mattresses for orphans who have been sleeping on the ground!

Josh loading Pastor Charile's bus with buckets of food!

A full bus!!
WOW!! Lots of stuff!

Taking out the trailer that Mr. Wilson, from SC, sent down.
It had a 5 kw military surplus diesel generator on it for
Shiloh Children's Home, along with fan/lights and
everything needed to set them up in the buildings!
An empty container!!
This is the home front while the boys were gone! I got to feed
all the children!!  WHAT A FUN DAY!!
